Below are some of the questions we often hear from hotel guests.

How do I get to the hotel?

You can get to the hotel by car, bus, or train:

  • Bus stop 200 m
  • Train station 2.6 km

When can I check in?

As a general rule, rooms are ready at 2:00 pm. If your room is ready earlier (it depends, among other things, on when the guest before you checked out), we can check you in earlier, but we cannot guarantee it. If needed, you can leave your car in the parking lot or leave your bags with us at the reception desk until your room is available.

What time do I have to leave on the day of check-out?

You should vacate your room after breakfast, no later than 11:00 am, on the day of check-out. You may, however, leave your car in the lot until the afternoon or stow your bags with us at the reception desk.

If you do not check out before 11:00 am, we will charge you for another night because we will not have time to prepare the room for the arrival of the next guest.

When is the reception desk open?

The hotel reception desk is open from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm. Check-in is possible until 9:00 pm. You can reach reception staff by telephone 24 hours a day at +420 736 481 003.

In case of late or nighttime arrivals, we will leave you the room key and a diagram showing how to get there. Simply enter the code that we have sent you to gain access to the building and pick up your key. This service must be arranged in advance so that we know to expect you.

Can I check in online without the reception desk?

When we confirm your registration, you will get an email with directions and a link for an online registration form. Once you have filled it out, we will send you an email and text message with a unique PIN code for entry to the building reception area, where we will simply hand over the room key.

How can I pay? How can I cancel?

Payment is possible by cash, card, or bank transfer. The concrete type of payment depends on how you made your reservation (email, telephone, online).

Terms for cancellation can be standard, with the option of your money back, or nonrefundable, with no option of your money back. Concrete terms of cancellation depend on how you made your reservation (email, telephone, online) and when you are scheduled to begin your stay.

Can I pay by credit card or with SODEXO checks?

We accept major credit cards. In addition, for reservations made through our website or at the hotel reception, we also now accept payment by Sodexo Flexi Pass card, Sodexo Flexi Pass paper vouchers, Fokus Pass, and Darkovy Pass. These employee-benefit-program payment methods cannot be used when booking through portals such as booking.com, hotel.cz, etc.

We do not accept any other employee benefit card or voucher as payment.

What facilities are available at the hotel?

Hotel Kocanda has a parking lot, wireless internet, a reception desk, a restaurant, a nonsmoking environment, a spa, cots, a children’s playground, and conference facilities.

Is breakfast included?

Yes, guests of Hotel Kocanda can enjoy breakfast 7:00–9:00 am on weekdays and 8:00–10:00 am on weekends and holidays during their stay.

If you know you will miss breakfast, we can pack a breakfast bag for you the previous day. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy breakfast on our terrace.

Is there a restaurant or café in the hotel?

Yes, the hotel has its own restaurant, Kocanda, which has been named “Pub of the year.” We serve breakfast here in the form of a cold and warm buffet. The rest of the day the restaurant is open for all diners with a full menu. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating with a view of the riverside. We are located on the loveliest bike trail in Bohemian Switzerland.

Is there a spa in the hotel?

Yes, the hotel has its own spa, available for private use by reservation only. Spa features include:

  • A starry sky
  • Hot tub hydromassage – Water changed after each visit, ozone disinfection of all 24 jets, 100% chemical free, ambient lighting with color therapy, maximum capacity two adults and one child
  • Finnish sauna – Glass front panel with a view of the whole spa, capacity 4–5
  • Double bed in relaxation zone – Fresh sheets, with view of the TV
  • Sound system, TV
  • Minibar with cold drinks, plus drinks and snacks served by our staff through a serving box in order to maintain your privacy and discretion
  • Wheelchair accessible – Hot tub set into the floor, hot tub depth 50 cm
  • Hygiene and privacy are our priority

Is parking available at the hotel?

There is a small public parking lot in front of the hotel for visitors to the cycling trail (free for hotel guests) which can be used without prior reservation as available. The hotel has three reserved parking spots adjacent to the entrance which may be used for a fee and must be booked in advance.

Where can we stow our bikes and does the hotel have facilities for cyclists?

Due to the hotel's location near the cycle path, we are prepared for cyclists in our hotel. Bicycles can be stored in the lockable bike room, which is equipped with racks and also sockets for charging electric bikes. There are more possibilities for cycling trips in the surroundings of the hotel.

Can I celebrate my birthday at the hotel?

Our restaurant and our private conference facilities offer a variety of options for celebrations. The hotel has meeting rooms for seminars, training, presentations, business meetings and more. Larger groups can take advantage of our heated terrace adjacent to our conference room, where we can serve refreshments, receptions, etc.

Is it possible to accommodate a four-legged pet?

Reservation of a room with a dog is possible only by prior arrangement.
ONLY SMALLER DOGS UNDER 10 Kg. WE DO NOT ALLOW LARGE BREEDS.
Dogs can only be accommodated in selected rooms designated for this purpose.

We charge a fee of 500 CZK for each night of the dog's stay.
Please report your pet in time.

Unreported pets will not be accepted at the hotel.
